What is CASE'ing?

If you follow any cardmaking or rubber stamping blogs or social media, you have probably seen the acronym, CASE, or heard someone say they CASED it or they are CASE'ing. But just what does all this mean?

CASE = Copy and Share Everything
CASED = means they Copied it
CASE'ing mean you are looking for something to copy

Sometimes people copy exactly other time they use it for inspiration. Casing is encouraged, but remember to give credit if you copy exactly.

When I saw the new Lift Me Up stamp set, I immediately thought of a card I previously cased for a class. I used the basic idea with a new stamp set Lift Me Up. I love this set because it has so many wonderful sentiments to go with the balloon theme. I got the first card from Val Moody's website and used it for a class last summer. The green card is the new one I created.

Happy Mistakes

 What is a Happy Mistake?

It happens all the time in my card making classes. Somebody gets inky fingers and gets a smudge on part of their card or they use a little to much pressure when inking the stamp and they get a bit more ink they intended. It's not a big deal. every piece of paper has two side and there are lots of quick fixes. There is no need to throw it out or start at the beginning. Sometimes I like the fix better than the original. That's why we call it a happy mistake!

OOPS...

The ink pad was new and juicy. I used a bit to much pressure when I inked the stamp and when I stamped the extra ink  left a shadow.

No Problem

My quick fix produced a happy mistake!

Instead of starting over, I just stamped my sentiment on a scrap of the pink I used for the embossed layer, die cut it, and adhered with a dimensional!

More Yummy in my Tummy

Yesterday, I made a little treat bag that was perfect for a party favor. Today, I made a much bigger bag. This one has a full sized Hershey's bar and some Ghirardelli chocolates, and Hershey's kisses.

I used a gusseted bag filled with the chocolate. I stamped Mr. Happy and fussy cut him before adhering with Tear & Tape. I used the new Sending Love ribbon combo. to tie the bag closed. It was quick and easy. Perfect for when you want to give someone a bit of chocolate love

Yummy in my Tummy

I love the new Yummy in my Tummy stamp set. It was so easy to make this adorable treat bag.

So easy to make. Just stamp the smiling monster on your favorite designer series paper. Cut a circle out of his tummy with a circle frame-lits and than fussy cut him. Stamp the sentiment on some scrap paper and cut with a heart frame-lit or punch. I used Tear & Tape to adhere to adhere the sentiment and Mr. Happy to a  small goody bag full of kisses.
