Stampin' Up! More Share What You Love

Stampin' Up! Share What You Love For the Paper Players Sketch Challenge #395

As soon as I saw this sketch, I knew I wanted to use the Pearlized Doilies that are part of the Gotta Have it all Bundle that Stampin' Up! is offering during the May 2018 Pre-release.

I also wanted to use my favorite piece of Designers Series Paper (DSP) from the Share What You Love Designers Series Paper Package. I am so happy that this DSP pack is double the size of most of our DSP packs. Instead of 2 sheets of each design, this pack has four sheets. I know I am going to need way more than four of this beautiful, pearlized sheet of paper. I LOVE it!

I mounted the DSP on a piece of Basic Black card stock because I want the colors to pop. I die cut a piece of Tranquil Tide Cardstock and used glue on the backside of the doily to adhere it.

I fussy cut one of the beautiful flowers from the DSP and used a dimensional to make it stand out a little bit. For the sentiment, I used Versamark and white Stampin' Emboss power. For the finishing touch, I added a few of the new Artisan Pearls to give it just a little bling.

Stampin' Up! Share What You Love

Stampin' Up! Share What You Love for FMS339

I have been sick for weeks with pneumonia so my crafting has been minimal. I'm so glad to be feeling better and able to do a few challenge cards. This one is from one of my favorite sites,

I wanted to keep this card clean and simple just like in the sketch so I decided to use some Designers Series Paper (DSP) and a sentiment only. But once a started I quickly decided it needed a little something more.

The DSP is from the Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper(DSP) Pack.
I chose Rich Razzleberry for the card base because it coordinates beautifully with the paper and the ribbon.

Once I adhered the DSP to the Whisper White card stock I felt like it needed a little something more so I decided to use the brand new 1/4 inch velvet ribbon. I used Tear and Tape to adhere the ribbon so it would lay flat. The ribbon and the paper are both part of the pre-release special bundles.. The bundle ends today May 31,2018 but the paper and the ribbon with both be in the new catalog that debuts tomorrow June 1,2018.

I wanted to add a little bling. My first choice was the silver adhesive backed rose from the Share What You Love embellishment box. The roses are only available in silver and I wanted it to coordinate so I used a Stampin' Blend alcohol ink marker to color it Rich Razzleberry. This is a quick and easy way to change an embellishment to the color of your choice.

I liked the way it turned out but it added too much bulk to the ribbon so I decided to add a few of the new Share What You Love Artisan Pearls instead of the rose.

Stampin' Up! Beautiful Day

 Beautiful Day

I love the Beautiful Day stamp set. It has two big, beautiful images that are perfect for coloring. I especially love the butterfly and I have had so much fun playing with it that I have not even tried the flowers stamp yet.

I had a partially used sheet of Designers Series Paper (DSP) laying on my work table after finishing another project. It was just begging to be stamped on. So I stamped the butterfly from the Beautiful Day stamp set and embossed it with black embossing powder and then I fussy cut it.

Stampin' Up! Weather Together

Stampin' Up! Weather Together

April Showers Bring May Flowers

I think everyone has heard it. Usually, on a rainy day, someone will say April Showers Bring May Flowers. But it is not really about gardening. It's a reminder that sometimes we have to go through difficult or unpleasant things to get to the beauty.

This saying inspired my card. I do not have a sentiment stamp with the saying so I wanted to create a card that evoked the memory of it.

I started with the umbrella. I didn't just want to stamp it. I want to stamp in on Designers Series paper(DSP) so that it would have a pretty background. I have never been someone who carries a solid color umbrella. If I need to use an umbrella, I want it to be bright and cheery

I  tried out several different frame-lits for the flowers before I found one that I liked. I die cut 4 different colors for the flowers. I choose colors that coordinated with the DSP. It's easy to do that because Stampin' Up! puts the colors that they designed the DSP to coordinate with on the back of the paper package and in the catalog description of the paper.  I put a pearl on each flower to give them a little extra dimension and because I like the bling!

Stampin' Up! Statement of My Heart

Stampin' Up! Statement of My Heart for FMS 335

As soon as I saw this sketch at Freshly Made Sketches  I knew I was going to turn it on its side and use the new Statement of the Heart Stamp.
It took me a lot longer to choose the colors and papers I wanted to use because there are so many new colors and choices. I love the new Share What You Love Speciality Designer Series Paper(DSP)
It's is absolutely beautiful. I love the shimmer from the pearlized flowers.
There are 6 different papers. Each piece is doubled sided so you get 12 different designs. This is a BIG pack of paper with 4 sheets of each doubled sided design for 24 total sheets.  There are so many possibilities for this paper. It was so hard to decide which one to use. I tried my  3 favorites first.
They are so beautiful but I felt the shimmer of the paper and the copper embossed powder that I was using were to much so I decided to use a beautiful floral withour shimmer.
And for my card base I choose the new 2018-2020 In-Color Grapefruit Grove
I heat embossed the sentiment with the Copper Stampin Emboss Powder.
I love our Statement of the Heart. Because it really sums up how I feel. I love what I do and I share what I love and I hope to make a difference.
