Stampin' Up! Make a Splash FMS428

Stampin' Up! Make a Splash

FMS428 Sketch Challenge

As soon as I saw this sketch on Freshly Made Sketches, I knew I was going to use the  Make A Splash hostess set. This set has been sitting on my stamp rack gathering dust while waiting for me to have the time to make a Maryland themed sampler using the crab. the only reason I own this set is the crab!  Because I am a Marylander and we love our blue crab and our Old Bay! But now the opportunity to use it for something else had appeared and so I dusted it off and started playing.

I've barely used the Soft Sea Foam but it seemed like the perfect color for this card. I combined it with my favorite blue, Pool Party, I embossed the Soft Sea Foam cardstock with the Subtles embossing folder. I  love this folder. It is probably my most used one because it adds just a little bit of subtle texture   I picked the sentiment because I know there are so many people suffering from social isolation because of the Covid 19 pandemic and I want to send cards of encouragement.

I hope I have encouraged you to do something creative today and to send a card to a friend.

What's New at SU Sale A Bration Blog Hop

What's New at SU! Sale A Bration Blog Hop

I'm so excited that you are joining us for our hop. We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world who are Hoppin’ With Ideas to share with you. I hope you'll find some exciting ideas to inspire you to do something creative today!

Today I am featuring the stamp set Witty-cisms. I passed right by this stamp set when I saw it in the new 2020 mini-catalog but then I went to the Proverbial Stampers quarterly meeting. Proverbials Stampers is a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators who are all in the downline of Connie Heisy and we get together to share new ideas. We used this set and I fell in love with it. We made some really quick and easy cards and I was hooked.

If you get this stamp set and the stitched so Sweetly Stitched  framelits you can make a big stack of cards for various occassions using any combination of cardstock and designer series paper you have in your stash and best of all if you purchase the stamp set and frame-lits now it will earn you a free item from the exclusive Sale-a-bration 2020 brochure.

These are three of the cards that I made with Proverbial Stampers that inspired me to get the stamp set.

I love the sweet little baby carriage so I created a few different cards of my own based off of the card I made at our meeting.  For the yellow and pink card, I made my own background using the acrylic block technique.

These card are #simplestamping! So quick and easy but so many variations.
I LOVE the Taco stamp!

I also made a gift card holder.

If you want something to help you create a lot of cards quickly, this is the stamp set!

Thank you for visiting my blog today. I hope that my cards will inspire you to take a look at all the fabulous products Stampin' Up!  has to offer and to do something creative today.

Stampin' Up! Sailing Home

Stampin' Up!  Sailing Home for FMS 424

This sketch from Freshly Made Sketches was a challenging one. I stared and stared at it for a few days. I visualized all sorts of things being where the circle is at and I finally mentally flipped the sketch and boom! The ideas began to flow. I find that life is often like that. Sometimes all it takes is a change of perspective.

I decide to use the Stampin' Up! Sailing Home stamp set because it has a Designer Series Paper(DSP) that coordinates with it and I had a pack sitting on my shelf unopened and begging to be used.

I used Night of Navy cardstock for the base.
I decide the compass needed a little something so I wrapped some bakers twine around it.

If you need a quick and easy masculine themed card this stamp set and DSP are a great choice.

If you would like to see what 40 + crafters made using this sketch, you can check them all out at Freshly Made Sketches.

Thank You for taking the time to visit my blog. Please take a moment to leave me a comment so I know you were here. I hope I have inspired you to do something creative today.
