New at SU Blog Hop Changing Seasons

Welcome to our NEW AT SU! Blog hop! We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world who are Hoppin’ with creative paper crafting ideas to share with you. This month's theme is Changing Seasons.

I'm in the USA and the season is changing from sunny summer days to cooler autumn days. We just celebrated Labor Day so now it' time for me to get out my fall decorations. I love to decorate for fall with my favorite flower, the sunflower, and pumpkins, scarecrows, etc. My decorations inspired this card because I have a tin milk jar that I put out and fill with sunflowers.

I combined an older stamp set, Country Home, with the Jar of Flowers stamp set from the new annual catalog.

I used the 2020-2022 In-colors Designers Series Papers. It doesn't show in my photo but I embossed the piece of paper that looks like denim with the new Old WorldPaper 3D folder to create a piece of paper that looks like old wrinkles denim

I wanted my bouquet to have a little dimension so I stamped the image twice so I could cut out several flowers and put them on dimensionals.

For my sentiment, I used a stamp from the Itty Bitty Greetings. With all the social distancing because of COVID19, I don't get to see people as often so I always need Miss You cards.

Please contact your Stampin’ Up! demonstrator if you have any questions or to make a product purchase. I would be happy to answer any questions about the products or the techniques shown here. NEW AT SU Stampin' Up! In-Colors

Welcome to our NEW AT SU! Blog hop! We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world who are Hoppin’ with creative paper crafting ideas to share with you. Today we are showcasing the new 2020-2022 In-Colors from 2020-2021 Annual  Stampin’ Up! Catalog.

I love all the new In Colors!

For my projects, I decided to do a one-sheet wonder using the new Designers Series Paper (DSP) Flowers For Every Season. This gorgeous paper coordinates beautifully with the new colors and several old favorites It is double-sided and features beautiful flowers for all seasons including a beautiful Poppy Parade and Just Jade combo that is perfect for Christmas.

I used a template to cut my DSP and made 3 cards from the pieces of this 6 by 6 paper. All of my cards used the soft subtle Misty Moonlight

Quick and Easy

This card is so quick. I think it could be made in 5 minutes.

Old World Texture

I used the Old World Paper 3D embossing folder to give my card a little bit of texture

Blue Bird

I love the little bird from the Birds and More dies that coordinate with the Birds and Branches stamp set. I got the new cards stock and DSP before the new inks were available so I tried the Balmy Blue for my sentiment on this card.

Template

This template if for a 6 by 6 square of DSP

NEW AT SU-Stampin' Up! Celebrating Sunflowers

Stampin' Up! Celebrating Sunflowers

Thank You for visiting us at the  NEW AT SU! Blog hop! We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world who are Hoppin’ with creative paper crafting ideas to share with you. Today we are showcasing products from the 2020/2021 Annual Catalog Stampin’ Up! Catalog.

For my projects, I am featuring the Celebrating Sunflowers Bundle. I love sunflowers so I was very excited to set this gorgeous set in the new catalog.  I absolutely LOVE the die that lets you cut out a big lacy flower.

Spotlight Technique

I decided to try out the spotlight technique. This technique highlights a small portion or certain areas of a stamped image to draw attention to it. This is a good technique to use on a large stamped image or if you don't feel like coloring a large area.

I began by stamping the largest image in the stamp set on a thick whisper white card base. I did not stamp a complete image and I offset several of the images. Then, I colored the image I wanted to highlight with the Stampin' Blends. I die cut a large flower out of copper foil for the overlay and glued it over my colored image.

Fun Fold Card

For my next card, I decided to do a fun Fold. On this fold, the center is left open and the top and bottom are held together by the large sunflower.

I stamped my image with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored it with Stampin' Blends. Then I add dimension by layering a lacy flower and a cut out of the center and finally a center on a dimensional.

Measurements For this fold

Card Base: Cinnamon Cider 4-1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5-1/2″ on the 11″ side, using the scoring blade on your paper trimmer, slide to the left so the score line is at the 1-3/4″and cut. Now, cut the piece that is left over down to 1-3/4″ x  4-1/4″  for the bottom of the card. Use Designer Series Paper on the top and bottom cut at 1 9/16 by 4.

After the card is assembled you may want to add a die-cut piece to the bag of the sunflower so it doesn't show where the alcohol ink bleeds through the paper.

Thank you for visiting my blog today. I hope that my cards will inspire you to take a look at all the fabulous products Stampin' Up!  has to offer and to do something creative today.
