Lily Pad Lake for the What's New at Stampin' Up! Blog Hop
We are a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world who are hoppin' with exciting ideas to share with you.
I am honored to be included in a group of so many talented stampers. Thank You Karie Beglau for organizing this hop.
Today, we are featuring products from the New 2018-19 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog that debuted on June 1, 2018, I picked the Lily Pad Lake bundle because I live in Maryland, USA near the beautiful Chesapeake Bay. We have amazing sunrises and sunsets over the bay. The Great Blue Heron is plentiful in Maryland. It's even on our special Chesapeake Bay license plates. So I fell in love with this set as soon as I saw it.
I used all of the 2018-2020 In-Color collection except Call Me Clover to create the beautiful sunsets. I used an emboss resist technique to create the water and a sponging technique for the sunset. A complete product list is at the end of this post if you would like to try these techniques.
I was having so much fun sponging that I made three different cards.
For some tips on how to sponge sunrise and sunset backgrounds check out this video on my youtube channel.
