Stampin' Up! New At SU Blog Hop

Welcome to our NEW AT SU! Blog hop! We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world who are Hoppin’ with creative paper crafting ideas to share with you. Today,  we are showcasing retiring products from the 2019 - 2020 Annual Stampin’ Up! Catalog.

It's never easy to say good-bye, but knowing that in a few weeks Stampin' Up! will be debuting a new annual catalog full of brand new goodies makes it so much easier. I'm featuring several of my favorite retiring products.  I love the Bird Ballad Designers Paper (DSP)  and the stamp set it coordinates with the Free as a Bird set. I am happy the stamp set is not retiring but I am going to miss this paper. I always buy a few extra packs of my favorite retiring DSP. I used the DSP on the card and to line the envelope.

I used the Hold onto Hope Stamp set, the coordinating Cross of Hope dies and the Stitched Labels dies for the card. For the envelope, I used the Beautiful Layers dies to die cut the envelope liner from the DSP. I love to line my envelopes. I think it gives the extra special touch.

I cut the standard A2 size side fold card base and I fold the front back and scored it to give it a crisp edge. I adhered a piece of DSP to the flap and a 5 1/4 by 4-inch piece to the inside.

I stamped the solid cross image with Coastal Cabana Classic Stampin' Ink and layer a cross that I die cut from silver foil paper on top of it.

Thank you for visiting my blog today. I hope that my cards will inspire you to take a look at all the fabulous products Stampin' Up!  has to offer and to do something creative today.

Please contact your Stampin’ Up! demonstrator if you have any questions or to make a product purchase. I would be happy to answer any questions about the products or the techniques shown here. If you live in the U.S. and do not have a demonstrator, please contact me and I would be happy to help you. Stampin' Up! Black Ice

 Black Ice Hot New Technique

If you are on Pinterest or YouTube you have probably already heard about the hottest new stamping technique. BLACK ICE!  It is all the rage. Most Stampers are crediting Melissa Kerman of Melissa Crafting Treehouse as the creator. And that's how I found out about it.
I created multiple panels with this technique because I was having so much fun
I try color some of the images with Stampin' Blends Alcohol Ink markers
and then I started making the panels into cards.
I combined two of the ribbons from the Shimmer Ribbon pack that is only available during Sale-A-Bration 2018

I really enjoyed playing with this new technique. It was a lot of fun

I used silver foil paper but you could also use copper or gold for a different look.
If you would like to try it there is a complete list of products below. Some of them are only available for a few more days because they are Sale-A-Bration 2018 exclusives and Sale-A-Bration 2018 ends March 31, 2018
Thank you for visiting my blog.
