 Stampin' Up CASE-ing Tuesday

I made this card for CASE-ing. CASE-ing Tuesday is a Facebook group that CASEs (copy) cards from the Stampin' Up! catalog every Tuesday.  We change nothing, a little or a lot depending on the card.  CASE-ing is a great way to try new styles and improve stamping.

This is the sketch we worked from

The card in the sample uses my favorite embossing folder from the January - June 2020 Mini Catalog , the coastal weave 3d emboss folder. I was so sad to see it on the retirement list today. I used the same color for my base as the sample, Bermuda Bay, but it looks like a different color that happens sometimes depending on the lighting used during photography. I love the way the Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight look on the Bermuda Bay.

It's Time for a Sketch Challenge!

I love a good sketch challenge! I enjoyed this one at Freshly Made Sketches so much that I made three cards! I can only enter one so you'll have to wait until later this week to see the other ones.

It's been cold and dreary where I live at on the eastern shore in Maryland so I really enjoyed creating with the Timeless Tropical stamp set and dreaming of warmer days to come. 

I let my husband pick the card for today's blog post because I liked them all so much I could not decide which one to upload. 

I used my favorite blue, Pool Party, cardstock for this card because when I think of Palm trees I think of beautiful blu water. I embossed it with the Subtle 3D Embossing folder because I wanted to give it just a lit bit of texture.  I also embossed the circle and the little strip of paper under the sentiment. For that, I used the new Coastal Weave 3D Embossing folder. 

For the sentiment, I used a die from the Stitched rectangles and I daubed it with a little bit of Coastal Cabana Classic Stampin Ink.

For the palm tres, I used the many Marvelous markers to color the stamp before I stamped it on the Very Vanilla cardstock and die cut it with the coordinating dies.

Just looking at those palm trees and those subtle, soothing colors makes me feel relaxed.
