Vivid Vases Awning Card

Yesterday, I featured the awning card with the Cupcake Party stamp set. Today's card uses the Vivid Vases stamp set. When it comes to awning cards the sky is the limit. There are so many different kinds of shops you can have. Just check out pinterest and you'll see so many variations: Bakeries,Coffee House,Pet Shop, Ice Cream shoppe. There is even a Tiki Bar and a Horse in a Stall.

I stamped and colored the vases with markers because we were making this at a workshop so it had to be kept simple. However there are so many more things you can do with it. The vases can be paper pieced. You could make flower using the small punches or you could using the new Blendabilities alcohol ink markers to give the vases some wonderful shading.

The emboss folder I used is retired both there are lots of others that would look great.

Cupcake Party Awning Card

 I've seen a lot of awning cards on pinterest. Most of them used the retired stamp set, Create a Cupcake. I've been wanting to try one so I decided to use the new Cupcake Party stamp set. I really liked how the card looked so I decided to try a variation and make a flower shop with the Vivid Vases stamp set.

There are a lot of tutorials and you Tube videos online. Just do a search for awning cards. One of my favorite is at Stamping with Jill
