Stampin' Up! Daffodil Afternoon

  Quick and Easy Cards

A good Designer Series Paper(DSP) should help you create quick and easy cards and that's exactly what the Daffodil Afternoon DSP does. I created these cards in about 10 minutes.

I used Flirty Flamingo cardstock for the base of this card and then I added one layer of Basic Black cardstock ( 4 by 5 1/4 ) Next, I added the layer of Daffodil Afternoon DSP ( 3 3/4 by 5) For the sentiment, I die cut a piece of Basic White using the Scalloped Contours dies. I stamped the sentiment from the Friendly Hello stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I thought the black and white looked a little stark so I stamped some speckles in Flirty Flamingo using another stamp from the Friendly Hello set.

For this card, I used the same cardstock base and first layer but instead of one large piece of the Daffodil Afternoon DSP I used 2 small pieces (3 by 4 inches )  The sentiment is from the Color and Contours Stamp Set. I stamped it in Flirty Flamingo.

The Daffodil Afternoon Designers Series Paper and the Friendly Hello stamp set are Sale-A-Bration exclusives You can get them for FREE with qualifying purchase. But you need to hurry because they are only available until Sale-A-Bration is over (2-28-22) or while supplies last.

Stampin Up! Easter Friends

 Sketch Challenge

This was a challenging challenge! When I saw this sketch at Freshly Made Sketches, I was stumped. What could I put in those circles? I looked through all my newest stamp sets for ones I had not used yet. I went with the Easter Friends because I thought the little chick in different colors would look like a Marshmallow Peeps.

I wanted to use a piece of the Designers Series Paper (DSP) from the Sunshine and Rainbows DSP. I love the way Stampin' Up!'s DSP coordinates so easily with their cardstock. All I have to do is look at the back of the paper pack and it lists the coordinating colors. For this card, I choose, Flirty Flamingo, Mango Melody, and Pool Party.

I used the new Gingham Embossing Folder because it was the closest looking to a basket weave.I used the Scalloped Contours dies to cut the mat from Flirty Flamingo Cardstock.

I had to play around with the Peeps/Chicks a bit to get them to look the way I wanted. I fussy cut the chicks and used dimensionals to pop them up. Underneath the chicks, I stamped a matching chick and used my Stampin' Blends to color each circle blue and then I glued it to another white circle for some contract against the blue card base.

The Sunshine and Rainbows DSP is a Sale-A-Bration exclusive. You can get it for FREE with qualifying purchase. But you need to hurry because it is only available until Sale-A-Bration is over (2-28-22) or while supplies last.

Stampin' Up! Simply Marbleous

 Simply Marbleous

This Designer Series Paper is Simply Marvelous. It makes it so easy to create a beautiful background for your cards. It's a Sale-A-Bration exclusive, FREE gift with qualifying purchase, and there are only 8 days left until Sale-A-Bration is over!

The first card, I created with the Simply Marbleous Designer Series Paper (DSP) I used the DSP for the sky. I choose the Misty Moonlight piece because I felt like it most resembled a sky.

I intentionally cut the DSP so the lighter part was in the bottom corner so I could stamp my sentiment directly onto the paper. I used the Kite Delight stamp set for the kite, kite tail, and sun.

I stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I didn't feel like fussy cutting so I stamped a whole sheet of kites and tails and then I cut them using my Brother Scan and Cut.

For my second card, I choose the Smokey Slate DSP because it reminded me of a stormy sky. I stamped clouds from the Kite Delight Stamp set, the seagulls from the Sailing Home stamp set, and the sentiment from the Flowering Rainboots stamp set. I used Basic Gray Classic Stampin' Ink'

I tore a piece of the Misty Moonlight DSP for the water at the bottom of my card.

Simply Marbleous is a 6 by 6  DSP. It has 6 different papers and you get 8 of each sheet for a total of 48 sheets. Remember It's a Sale-A-Bration exclusive FREE gift with qualifying purchase and is only available until Sale-A-Bration is over 2/28/22 or while supplies last
