Stampin' Up! Retiring Products Blog Hop
Oh, how I love to see the new Stampin' Up! In -colors and all the new goodies when the new catalog arrives, but it is always so hard to say goodbye to the products that are retiring. This year Stampin' Up! is doing a color revamp so there are 13 colors from our core color collection and 4 In-colors from the 2016-2018 collections that are retiring,
So I bid A fond farewell to ...
My first card uses my favorite retiring color, Chocolate Chip, and a stamp set that I ordered the week before the retirement list came out. I love this set and I ordered it because my daughter is newly engaged so I know I'll be getting a lot of use out of it.
I used Chocolate Chip cardstock for the card base and Pink Pirouette cardstock for the top layer. I used the small heart stamp and Pink Pirouette Classic Stampin' Ink to stamp a background. Both of these colors are retiring so get them now before they are going or if you have them already make sure you order the ink refill.
I stamped the wood image on crumb cake with Chocolate Chip Classic Stampin' Ink. Just typing that makes me hungry. Those colors sound so yummy. I also stamped a set of the leaves on Pear Pizazz and fussy cut them. I stamped the heart center on the Pink Pirouette and fussy cut that also. The heart has a dimensional under it
For the inside, I used Crumb Cake cardstock and stamped with the Chocolate Chip Classic Stampin' Ink. The lace I used retired a few years ago, but I thought it was perfect for this card.
Goodbye Numbers Framelits
Out of all the items on the retirement list, the one I am going to miss the most is the numbers framelits. I use them all the time for birthday cards, graduation cards, and scrapbook pages.
For this card, I die cut the numbers out of the Painted with Love Speciality Designer Series Paper(DSP) and I used coordinating cardstock for the base and layers. I love the way Stampin' Up! list the colors that coordinate with the DSP on the back of the DSP package and in the catalog under the paper description. They make it so easy to make a beautifully coordinated card.
If you would like to make either of my cards, there is a supply list at the bottom of this post after the list of bloggers
This is a global blog hop with 50 stampers from around the world. I hope you enjoy visiting all their blogs. Thank You for visiting my blog. I am honored to have been included in a hop with so many talented stampers.
