Stampin' Up! Cauldron Bubble For Freshly Made Sketches 352
My first thought when I saw the sketch for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge 352, was that I would use a cauldron from the Cauldron Bubbles stamp set that is being introduced September 5th. I thought the cauldron would be great for the shape but once I started the card I quickly decided the cauldron by itself didn't look quite right. So I die cut the little witch from the Toil and Trouble Designers Series Paper (DSP)
The Toil and trouble suite of products features a stamp set with coordinating framelits dies. The dies coordinate with the stamp set and as an added bonus you can die cut some of the images from the DSP.
I wanted to keep my card clean and simple but I didn't want it to look flat so I used the Seaside Embossing Folder to add a bit of texture to the background I choose the Seaside Embossing Folder because I thought it mimicked steam and it would look like the cauldron was steaming
I stamped the cauldron with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink since I planned to color it with the Blends alcohol Ink markers and I didn't want to smear. I used the shimmery emboss paste to create a bubbly mass of goo in the cauldron
