Stampin' Up! Flying Home for FMS328

 Freshly Made Sketches Challenge 328

I love sketch challenges. Sometimes it's really hard to come up with an idea for the sketch. Other times,  I create more than one card because I have so many ideas and then I can't decide which one I like better. You can see all the details on this challenge at Freshly Made Sketches

I knew I wanted to use the Flying Home Stamp Set because I hadn't had a chance to use it yet. But I also wanted to use some of the retiring colors before they are gone. And I wanted to play with the Springtime Foils Speciality Designer Series Paper(DSP) that I got for FREE  because it's  Sale-A-Bration. So many things I wanted to use but I could not make my first couple of color choices work.  so I switched them.

Card #1

I used Rich Razzleberry and Sweet Sugarplum for this card and I embossed the middle of the card base with one of the Petal Pair Textured Impression Embossing Folders. You can barely see it in the photo.
I wanted to give the image a little dimension so I stamped several images and cut two of the flowers o and the birdhouse out of one of the images. I colored the images and the cut out pieces and then put a dimensional under them to pop them up a bit.

Card #2  Details

I used the Springtime Foils Speciality Designer Series Paper on this card. It is one of the Sale-A-Bration 2018  2nd release items and this was my first opportunity to create with it. I cut severel piece up and use my brayer and some Classic Stampin, Ink pads to layer color onto them.  When I decided to use the Lemon Lime Twist piece I colored the leaves on a different patterened piece with the Stampin' Write™ Lemon Lime Twist Marker
I used the framelit from the Petals and More Thinlets Dies to make the sentiment tag. I stamped the image, cut the tag and then cut the other end with part of the paper outside the frame-lit to make it shorter since my sentiment was small. I used the Square Layering Framelits to make the small frames that I put on each image.

And then can the tough part, deciding which one to upload for the sketch challenge. Which one would you choose? You can check out the challenge at Freshly Made Sketches and see which one I decided to enter.
